Police in Ekiti State police have arrested a man identified as Tosin Oluwatosin for being in possession of a fresh human head.
The suspected ritual killer, was said to have carried out the heinous act alongside his sibling, David Oluwatosin.
David, according to the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Adeyemi Alberto, is still at large.
Alberto told journalists in Ado Ekiti that the suspect was arrested with the fresh head in Ifaki Ekiti, in Ido-Osi local government area of the state around 3.35pm on Tuesday, February 14, following an intelligence report from unnamed source.
“Yes, it is true. One of the suspects is on the run. The victim is about 12 years old but we are still looking for the severed body and we are also on the trail of the one at large. After investigation, the suspects would be charged to court.”
While decrying recent spate of beheading in the state, the Police image maker said the police would also investigate if the two brothers had hand in the first two beheading.
It would be recalled that one person was about two weeks ago beheaded, following a land dispute between the people of Ayede Ekiti and Itaji Ekiti in Oye local government area of the state while a cattle rearer was also beheaded days after in Omu Ekiti.
Meanwhile, the state government has set up a panel of enquiry to investigate the cause of the land dispute.
The panel is to be chaired by Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba Ademola Ajakaye.
