An Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court on Friday remanded a 21-year-old man, Tosin Oluwafemi, in prison for alleged murder.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Caleb Leranmo, told the court that the accused committed the offence on Feb. 14 at Ifaki-Ekiti.
He said that the accused was charged with conspiracy, unlawful possession of human head and murdered of a 12-year-old boy, Joshua Ojo.
He said that the accused went to pick the boy from his school at Ifaki community primary school in Ifaki-Ekiti, murdered him and cut off his head.
He said the offence contravened sections 320, 329A and 319 of the Criminal Code Cap C16 Laws of Ekiti State 2012.
The plea of the accused was not taken.
The Chief Magistrate, Adesoji Adegboye, remanded the accused in prison till the outcome of the advice from Director of Public Prosecution.
He adjourned the case till April 5 for mention.
