Follow @NigeriaPI In view of the unstable economy and unexpected job losses, entrepreneurs and enterprising individuals are advised to start businesses that require no capital. A few of such business ideas with money-making potential are discussed below: Ghostwriting for professionals Professional, most times, look for ways to promote their services but have limited time to create content that will attract new clients. A business consultant, Mr. Bose Adekunle, says some of them have websites and social media pages but are unable to post content regularly. According to her, there are two business options available from the challenges these professionals face. One is the opportunity to write articles that can be posted regularly on the websites. The other is the management of the business’ social media pages. She says, “Accountants, lawyers, medical practitioners, health and safety consultants, and small business owners fall into the category of people who will appreciate the services of a ghostwriter. Many of them are willing to pay someone with good writing skills to engage their online audience and educate their followers. “To excel in this type of business, you have to choose an area to specialise in. It means that you need to have in-depth knowledge and be aware of emerging trends in the area of practice. If you are committed to it, you can strike a deal with more than five professionals at reasonable rates, and earn a steady monthly income.” Games, music lessons for preschool kids Adekunle says kids in preschools learn through activities that seem playful. For instance, they can learn more about water and sand when they play with them. She...

Follow @NigeriaPI The House of Representatives on Tuesday resolved to investigate the reported abduction and forceful marriage of a 14-year-old girl, Habiba Isa. The marriage, which received the support of the Katsina State Emirate Council, has come under criticism in the past week. She was said to have been first abducted and converted from Christianity to Islam before the forced marriage took place. The teenager was married to an aide in the Emir’s palace. After adopting a motion by Mr. Nnana Igbokwe on Tuesday, the House directed its Committee on Women Affairs to investigate the allegation. Igbokwe informed the House that the marriage was without the consent of the parents of the girl. He added that when the parents tried to secure her freedom, they were threatened and harassed repeatedly in Katsina State. Igbokwe argued that under the Child’s Rights Act, it was an offence to take a child from the custody of the parents without the consent of the latter. He stated, “Section 21 of the Child’s Rights Act stipulates that no person shall remove or take a child out of the custody or protection of his father or mother or guardian against the will of the father, mother or guardian.” Igbokwe also reminded his colleagues that under the Act, “any marriage so contracted is null and void and of no effect whatsoever.” Lawmakers passed the resolution in a unanimous voice vote. source:...
