Salesboy Hires Armed Robbers To Attack His Boss In Lagos

Follow @NigeriaPI Three men who specialize in breaking into shops at the Mushin and Ladipo Auto Spare parts market in Lagos state are telling Federal Special Anti- robbery Squad FSARS policemen how they perpertrate the act. The suspects were arrested following a tip off that they were allegedly breaking into a building material stall to cart away valuables and cash but luck ran out on three members of the six man gang as they were nabbed in the act. According to the police, the suspects and thier gang members were allegedly behind series of burglary at Mushin and Ladipo market. Following interrogation, the suspects who gave thier names as Ebuka Ubajide, Ifeanyi Okoye, and Emeka Ilebunam stated that thier leader one Chibuzor got the guns and cutter they use to break into the shops. Two of the suspects, Ebuka Ubajide and Emeka Ilebunam confessed that they are sales boys at the Ladipo market. Ebuka who claimed he has been to two robbery operations with the gang revealed that Emeka hired them to rob his boss so they can make quick money. Ebuka Ubajide who claimed to be 24 years old said “ I am from Anambra state. I am a sales boy in Ladipo market. I met one Ekene while I was serving my master at the market. Follow @NigeriaPI Ondo State Police Command on Thursday, August 25, rescued a 4-year-old girl who was caged in Akure. The girl, a pupil of Temiloluwa Nursery and Primary school, Imafon, Akure North Local Government Area, was rescued by the personnel attached to the Juvenile Welfare Centre (JVC) of the command. Ondo State Police Commissioner, Hilda Ibifuro-Harrison, who confirmed the arrest to journalists from her office in Akure, said the culprit identified as Mary Matthew, a foster parent of the victim. She stated that Mrs. Matthew and her husband alleged that the young girl was possessed. “On receipt of the information, personnel attached to Juvenile Welfare Centre (JVC) visited the scene and met the girl in the cage as reported. She was immediately rescued and taken to the Police Clinic for proper medical attention. The culprit was paraded at the Ondo State Police Headquarters Command on Igbatoro road in Akure,” Ms Ibifuro-Harrison said. Narrating how she was severely abused by her foster parents, the victim said she made several failed attempts to run away because she was afraid of being killed. “This wicked woman always tied me on my hands and forced me inside the cage while she flogged me with a horse whip every day,” the little girl said. Follow @NigeriaPI A 27-year-old man, Chigozie Egegonye, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly planning the kidnap of his sister, identified only as Franca. Franca and her four children had been declared missing since April 2016, when they suddenly disappeared from their home on Mayowa Street, Ago-Palace Way, Okota, Lagos. Our source gathered that Egegonye told his childhood friend, Michael Oluchukwu, that despite the wealth of his sister, she was stingy. Oluchukwu, a cobbler, sent a text message to the victim, giving her an ultimatum of 12 hours to pay N300,000 or risk being kidnapped and killed. It was learnt that Franca called the suspect and pleaded for her life, saying she could only afford N50,000. Oluchukwu reportedly agreed and sent her his account details. However, it was learnt that the victim had yet to send the money when she and her four children went missing. Punch gathered that the victim’s husband petitioned the State Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, after which detectives launched a manhunt for the suspects. Follow @NigeriaPI The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man, Surakat Idowu, for allegedly brutalising his five-year-old daughter with a hot iron in the Ikotun area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that 45-year-old Idowu, who separated from his wife in 2013, allegedly tortured the girl with an iron in the face and in the private parts on Monday. Our correspondent gathered that the girl, who stayed with her father on Kayode Toyeso Street, Liasu Road, in the Ikotun area, had been asked by her father to dispose faeces in a potty into the latrine, but she poured it on the floor. It was learnt that Idowu, who worked as an auto mechanic, got a hot iron and allegedly battered the girl’s body. Our correspondent was told that a neighbour, who witnessed the incident, reported at the Ikotun Police Division and the suspect was arrested. The victim, who is said to be in a nursery school, was reportedly blinded by the burns she suffered on the face, while her private parts were swollen. A neighbour, identified only as Basirat, said the girl slipped while going to pour the faeces into the latrine. Chukwudi, who is a National Diploma student of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State, denied removing body parts of the deceased after he murdered her. “I did not remove any part of her body; I only killed her for the fun of it. I made love with her in the bush before killing her. I am not a cultist. It was when I killed her that I realised I made a big mistake and I wept bitterly”he said when interrogated Ondo state commissioner of Police, Hilda Harrison, who paraded the suspect, said investigations carried out so far shows that Chukwudi whose parents are cassava farmers in Ogbese area of the state, had tricked his girlfriend to Ayede Ogbese, about 10 to 15 kilometres away from their campus where he stabbed her. He left her in the bush, thinking she was dead but on his return the next day to remove some of her body parts, he saw that she was still alive. While pretending to help her, the suspect reportedly took her to a camp close to a filling station in Ilu Abo, where he strangled her again. Abia police uncover baby factory, rescue pregnant girls

Follow @NigeriaPI Operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad attached to the Abia State Police Command have uncovered a suspected baby factory at Ogbor Hill, in the Aba  area of the state. During the operation, the detectives rescued five pregnant women and arrested a 54-year-old man, identified as Nkem Nwokocha. Nwokocha, who hails from Obegu village in the Ugwunagbo Local Government Area of the state, allegedly ran the factory with his wife, identified only as Nurse. The rescued pregnant women are Chidinma Chukwu (29), of Isiala Mbano community, Imo State; Kelechi Sampson (20); Happiness Godwin, of Mboko Umuanunu village, Obingwa, Abia State; Okoronkwo Mercy, of Alayi, in the Bende LGA, Abia State; and Oluebube Onyabu, of Umuanunu village, in the Obingwa LGA, Abia State. While parading the suspect at the police headquarters in Umuahia, the state capital, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Adeleye Oyebade, said the police acted on a tip-off. He explained that upon receipt of the information, operatives moved into the area and discovered the hideout, where the pregnant women were camped. The police boss lamented the rate at which people indulged in illegal sale of babies in the state, adding that it was an act of wickedness against innocent children.
