Follow @NigeriaPI Read the press statement below… “In furtherance of its commitment to the criminal justice sector reforms and take the fight against crime to a greater level, the Lagos State Government on Tuesday announced that it has concluded plans to establish the first ever high-powered DNA Forensic Laboratory in Nigeria which will take off within the next six to twelve months. The lab, which would be called the Lagos State DNA Forensics Centre (LSDFC), when fully operational, would fulfill an unmet need for DNA profiling which is a unique forensic technique that is now being used all over the world. Addressing journalists at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa on Tuesday, the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem, said the establishment of the centre was another eloquent testimony of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s sincerity and seriousness towards fighting all forms of criminality. Kazeem, who addressed the media alongside senior officials of the Ministry, said Governor Ambode had been at the vanguard of the war against domestic, sexual and violent crimes, and that the centre was geared towards vigorous justice sector reforms. He recalled the ground-breaking donation of equipment worth N4.8 billion to the Nigerian Police, the Light Up Lagos Project, and the recent solidarity visit of the Governor to crime flash points like the Isawo area of Ikorodu where criminals have been terrorizing innocent citizens, among others as further proofs of the Governor’s determination to tackle crime. This survey plan is what i would carry to the Land Bureau to go and do a geographical search on first. No matter how cheap or beautiful or strategically located a land or property is, once that property has been discovered to be designated for Government use in future, there is no point going any futher to purchase it. It will be a very foolish risk to attempt to defile the government and say nothing would happen, at least there are so many houses around or so many people have bought their own and nothing has happened. Well for those who are conversant with Uncle Fashola’s no nonsense approach in maintaining the master plan of Lagos, once your property is within that area that has being designated for Future Government use, no matter how long maybe its in the year 2023, the plan must be carried out accordingly and your property will go down without any form of compensation because you failed to do the right thing by throwing caution to the wind. Examples include the 8 Lane Dual Carriage Way in Badagry that all the houses that were on that land were demolished, All the houses in Alimosho local Government that were near pipe lines, The ones in Idiroko, The houses in ijegun etc! He admitted to only kissing the girl and when asked by prosecutor Daniel Thomas if he was sexually aroused by the kiss,  Johnson said he had ‘no specific recollection’ of being sexually aroused but admitted it was a ‘possibility’. Johnson arrived at Bradford Crown Court today without his girlfriend Stacey Flounders, the last time she appeared in court with him was on Tuesday last week. The court heard last week that Johnson twice met a 15-year-old in January last year after she befriended him on Facebook. At the first meeting, the girl got into Johnson’s Range Rover Sport, where he signed two football shirts for her. The pair then exchanged messages online, at which Johnson spoke about getting a ‘thank you kiss’ from the girl, the jury heard. When he met the teenager in his car for a second time, she says she performed a sex act on him and he put his hand down her trousers, an allegation the football staunchly denies. The Englishman already sacked by his club Sunderland for admitting to child sex offences of grooming and kissing an under age girl , also confessed in court today that as at when he was kissing the girl , he and his partner Stacey Flounders were having a rocky relationship and he also sent sexual messages to different women in their 20s.
