Follow @NigeriaPI n what will come across as a really shocking development, a pastor has been said to have ‘married’ a woman and her daughter. The pastor identified as one Timothy Ngwu, is currently facing the law over an allegation of misconduct. Pastor Ngwu was on Monday docked at an Enugu North Magistrates’ Court for allegedly marrying another man’s wife and daughter. According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the pastor’s wife, Veronica Ngwu, was said to have petitioned the court over the development. She said the revelation had to do with the will of God “but he later left the church but I refused to leave the church with him. “I have 10 children for him and we were all members of the church before he quitted and I had a baby for the pastor but the baby died after some weeks,” she told the court. She said that it was with her husband’s consent that their daughter was given to the pastor in marriage. “It is not true that I gave out our daughter in marriage to the pastor without the consent of my husband, he was aware of everything,” she said. Mr. Ngwu, who hailed from Ihe-Owerre, Nsukka, was absent from the court as he was said to be on admission at a hospital in Enugu. The presiding magistrate, R.I. Falae tendered the email as an evidence in the probe linking him to N100m election funds It was learnt that Anenih, in the email, mentioned that he was acting on the instruction of former President Goodluck Jonathan. A source at the EFCC told our correspondent that in the email dated March 2015, Anenih, who played a supervisory role in the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, informed Falae that N100m had been approved by Jonathan and would be handed over to him (Falae). A source at the EFCC said, “In the email, Anenih told Chief Falae, who is the Chairman of the SDP that N100m had been approved by President Jonathan as part of the agreement between the PDP and the SDP ahead of the presidential election. “He further urged Falae to provide an account which the money would be paid into.” The N100m, which was given to Falae by Anenih, was said to have emanated from the imprest account of the Office of the National Security Adviser in the Central Bank of Nigeria. It was eventually paid into the account of Marreco Limited, where Falae is chairman. The fund was credited into the company’s United Bank for Africa Plc account, 1000627022, on March 25, 2015. Commenting on this in his Twitter handle on Sunday, President Muhammadu Buhari paid glowing tributes to the military for their efforts in the war against insurgency in Nigeria’s northeast. The President also said he is willing to swap Boko Haram prisoners for the Chibok girls. But that is on condition that they are able to list those they want released and then come out to discuss with the Federal Government. He says the Federal Government will want the girls out safe without any harm done to them. Recently, the Bring Back Our Girls campaigners had called on the President to accept the swap of the Boko Haram prisoners for the Chibok girls who were kidnapped in Borno State two years ago.
